As health care providers, DOCERE: Institute of Wellness shares in the increasing global concern about COVID-19. We want you to know we are taking the situation very seriously. As doctors, we rely on information which is scientifically proven and medically backed and, accordingly, are closely monitoring and adhering to the advice given by public health officials.
Our commitment to putting the health and safety of our patients and staff first is unwavering. We have always taken pride in the cleanliness of our clinic, and will continue to follow, as we always have, the standards of infection control set out by Health Canada, and the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO).
As an essential service, our clinic remains open as we enter a modified version of Ontario's Roadmap to Reopen plan which begins today, January 5, 2022. Our team of Healthcare Professionals is permitted to offer consultations and treatments during this time, and will do so while maintaining our commitment to put the safety of our patients and our team above all else.
Effective immediately, we will be implementing the following protocols:
· Masks are required to be worn by all patients, at all times, while in our clinic.
· For patients receiving IV Nutritional Therapy, and for any new patient of our clinic, a member of our team will contact you on the day of your appointment to administer a COVID-19 screening questionnaire.
· Supplement purchases will only be available through curbside pickup. Orders can be placed by phone or email, and payments can be made by credit card or eTransfer.

Each patient is required to wear a face mask for the entire time they are in our clinic. This can be a homemade mask, or a purchased surgical/N95 mask. We ask that you bring your own mask to conserve our inventory, but if you do not have a mask, one will be supplied to you.
All of our Healthcare Professionals (Naturopathic Doctors, Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, Psychotherapists) are seeing patients face-to-face in our clinic. Both the patient and healthcare professional will be required to wear the appropriate PPE during the entire visit, while practicing safe distancing measures. If you prefer to be treated remotely, we will continue to offer virtual Telemedicine video consultations.
We continue to offer IV Nutritional Therapy on Mondays between 10:00am and 1:30pm, and on Thursdays from 3:15pm to 4:15pm, to any existing patient of Dr. Merrick or Dr. Traut.
Our clinic hours are from 9:00am - 5:00pm on Mondays, and Fridays, and from 9:00am - 7:00pm on Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We remain closed on Wednesdays and Weekends.
If you are experiencing a fever, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, have traveled or been in contact with individuals who have traveled outside of Canada, we strongly encourage you to self-quarantine.
